There is a new option to embed Twitter feeds into myblog.arts. Twitter updated their service recently, and they made it harder to add Twitter feeds to web pages, so the process of adding a feed is a bit more involved than it used to be. You are required to have a Twitter account and set up an ‘application’ as they call it, on their web site (this amounts to filling out a form), in order to retrieve certain codes for authentication.

To add a Twitter feed to your site, go to your Dashboard, then Settings -> Twitter Feed, and follow the instructions. When creating your application at Twitter, you can leave the Callback field blank.

Once you have set up details of your Twitter application, you can either add a Twitter widget to your page, or embed the following code into the text of a page or post:

[[display_tweets]]

If you get stuck, there is a useful step-by-step guide to setting this up here: Guide to Display Tweets plugin

Also please note:

  • The feed you display on your blog does not have to be your own Twitter feed.
  • At the moment you can only embed one Twitter feed per blog.
